Mass Sparring Session Form

  • Important Information

    This is our first of four MSS planned of 2026.  Sparring has always been and will always remain a crucial element in helping students to develop the ability to defend themselves using TKD in a real situation. It is for this reason that MSS’s are compulsory for students Orange Belt/ Green tag and above.

    Additionally, progress in sparring is taking into consideration when nominating students for grading. Student’s MUST show a level of ability in sparring in order to test for Green Belt. They MUST also show a standard of progress, in sparring, in order to test for all subsequent belts.

    Note: Although, MSS’s are compulsory for students Orange Belt/ Green tag and above, lower grade students are invited to attend at Instructors discretion.

    SATURDAY28TH MARCH, MASS SPARRING SESSION NO: 1

    Venue:  Buchan Hall, Buchan Road, Nunhead, SE15 3HQ

    Time:  Younger &Juniors Grades students: 9:30 -11:00 AM

    Older & Senior Grades students: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

    Requirements: Complete set of Sparring Equipment. Bottle of water. In the interest of safety, ensure all finger and toe nails are cut short!

    BOOKING DATE: FRIDAY 20TH MARCH.

    FEE: £20 BY THE BOOKING DATE, £24 THEREAFTER

  • (NWAC) New Wave AC Acknowledgements

    Some of the injuries that it is possible to sustain through sparring are: muscle strains, cuts and bruises and joint strains.

    Although unlikely, more severe injuries may be sustained through sparring.

    I accept that I cannot hold any representative of NWAC responsible for any loss of personal items or for any injuries that may be sustained during the Mass sparring Session.

    Publicity Release- NWAC, take photographs and video footage of students on a regular basis. This material is used to promote/advertise the club on various media platforms including: newsletters, web pages, social media pages (Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok) and other promotional material and products. 

    I understand that by signing this form I GRANT NWAC permission to use, reproduce, and distribute photographs and videos of myself and/or my child(ren) in material that may be used for promotion or otherwise of NWAC.  It is clearly understood that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me now or in the future by reason of such use.

    If student is under 18, this form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

MSS Form:

PARENT/GUARDIAN TO COMPLETE AND SIGN THIS FORM IF APPLICANT IS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.
