Mass Sparring Session Form

  • Important Information

    This will be the forth and final MSS planned for 2024.

    Sparring remains a crucial factor in helping students to develop the ability and confidence to defend themselves using TKD in the real world. It is for this reason that Mass Sparring Sessions remain compulsory for students Orange Belt/ Green tag and above.

    New Wave instructors use between 4-6 weeks, leading up to MSS’s, to prepare for them. It is important that students not only attend all four MSS’s throughout the year, but that they do not miss sessions leading up to them, as doing so can severely affect their performance on the day.

    Note: Although, MSS’s are compulsory for students Orange Belt/ Green tag and above, lower grade students are invited to attend at Instructors discretion.

    Lastly,in the interest of safety, please all finger and toe nails are cut short, before attending MSS!!

    SATURDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2024

    MASS SPARRING SESSION NO: 4

    Venue: Buchan Hall, Buchan Road, Nunhead, SE15 3HQ

    Time: Younger & Juniors Grades students: 9:30 -11:00 AM

    Older & Senior Grades students: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

    Requirements: Complete set of Sparring Equipment, Bottle of water. In the interest of safety, ensure all finger and toe nails are cut short!

    BOOKING DATE: FRIDAY 22ND NOVEMBER .

    FEE: £16 BY THE BOOKING DATE, £19 THEREAFTER

  • (NWAC) New Wave AC Acknowledgements

    Some of the injuries that it is possible to sustain through sparring are: muscle strains, cuts and bruises and joint strains.

    Although unlikely, more severe injuries may be sustained through sparring.

    I accept that I cannot hold any representative of NWAC responsible for any loss of personal items or for any injuries that may be sustained during the Mass sparring Session.

    Publicity Release- NWAC, take photographs and video footage of students on a regular basis. This material is used to promote/advertise the club on various media platforms including: newsletters, web pages, social media pages (Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok) and other promotional material and products. 

    I understand that by signing this form I GRANT NWAC permission to use, reproduce, and distribute photographs and videos of myself and/or my child(ren) in material that may be used for promotion or otherwise of NWAC.  It is clearly understood that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me now or in the future by reason of such use.

    If student is under 18, this form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

MSS Form:

PARENT/GUARDIAN TO COMPLETE AND SIGN THIS FORM IF APPLICANT IS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE.
