New Wave Parents Evening Demonstration!

While Hapkido has always been an integral part of our martial arts curriculum alongside Taekwondo, the lockdown period prompted a significant shift within New Wave Academy. During this unprecedented time, our academy underwent a transformation, placing a heightened emphasis on the Hapkido elements embedded in our syllabus.

This shift became particularly evident during the 2022 demonstration, where the primary objective was to provide parents with a firsthand look at the Hapkido techniques their children had been diligently learning. Introduced as a key focus in 2021, the increased emphasis on Hapkido showcased the versatility of our training approach and the commitment to offering a well-rounded martial arts education.

The demonstration served as a platform for students to showcase their proficiency in Hapkido, highlighting the locks, throws, and self-defense maneuvers that have become an integral part of their training. Parents witnessed the seamless integration of Hapkido alongside Taekwondo, underscoring the academy's dedication to fostering a comprehensive skill set in its students.

This evolution not only broadened the scope of our martial arts offerings but also reflected our commitment to adapting and innovating in response to unique circumstances. As New Wave Academy continues to evolve, the integration of Hapkido elements serves as a testament to our dynamic approach to martial arts education, ensuring that our students receive a holistic and enriched training experience.
